EUC Technology Labs After-Hours Access Policy

The Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change (EUC) provides extended access to its Technology Labs (HNE 253 and HNE 258) for authorized students who require use of the facilities after regular operating hours (after 4:30pm). Access is granted via YU Cards.

## Eligibility

After-hours access is available only to students who have applied and been approved through the EUC Technology Labs After-Hours Access Form.
Approval is for academic use only.

## Access Rules

1. Use your own card only. Do not share your YU Card or allow others to use it.
2. Authorized users only. Do not bring in friends, family, or unauthorized students.

## Security and Safety

Secure entry/exit: Ensure the door closes and locks fully behind you when entering and exiting.
Lab security: Before leaving, turn off equipment, log out of computers, and close any windows you opened.
Personal safety: Do not work alone in the lab if you feel unsafe. In an emergency, call Campus Security immediately.

## Conduct

The labs are shared spaces. Please respect other users, maintain a quiet environment, and follow the EUC Computing Code of Conduct.
Only enclosed drinks are allowed in the lab. No food.
Damage or misuse of equipment will result in loss of access and possible disciplinary action.

## Responsibilities

Students are responsible for any activity conducted using their YU Card.
Report any suspicious activity, security issues, or technical problems to EUC Computing Services eucccomp@yorku.ca.

## Enforcement

Failure to follow this policy may result in:

Immediate suspension of after-hours access.
Referral to the Faculty for disciplinary action.
Possible charges for damages or security breaches.
